New stage of cooperation: SKU named after M. Auezov received scientists from Turkey

On the 2nd of February, 2026, the leadership of the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University held an official meeting with a delegation of leading specialists from the Fruit Research Institute (MAREM) in Egirdir-Ispart (Turkey). The discussion of ways to develop agrarian science was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Director of the Center for the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility, Dean of the Agrarian Faculty and Faculty of the Department of Crop Production and Animal Husbandry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the integration of educational programs and joint research projects. The university management noted that Turkey is becoming one of the key partners of the SKU named after M. Auezov in the field of agro-industrial complex, and the experience of the MAREM Institute in breeding and intensive gardening is of particular value for the southern region of Kazakhstan. Direct dialogue with international experts of this level allows our university not only to improve the quality of education, but also to become a driver of agricultural innovation in the region.
Scientists from Egirdir expressed their readiness for long-term interaction, emphasizing the high scientific potential of the Agrarian Faculty. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the development of a cooperation agreement.
