The leadership of the Agrarian Faculty took part in the international online briefing «Universities and Sustainable Development: Practice, Prospects and Performance Criteria»

On the 20th of January, 2026 Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Gulnara Tastanbekova, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, Ph.D. Saule Sherimova, head of department «Crop production and animal husbandry», candidate of biological sciences, docent Asset Zhylkibaev, Head of the Department of «Veterinary Medicine», Doctor of Ph.D. Ykhtiyar Sarybaev, Head of the Department of «Water Resources, land use and agrotechnology», Associate Professor Gulmira Kenzhalieva took part in an international online briefing on the topic «Universities and sustainable development: practice, prospects and performance criteria», organized by South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov.
During the briefing, 245 leading scientists and experts discussed: the role of universities in promoting sustainable development in the context of international QS ratings; current global trends in higher education; basic principles of education for sustainable development and how to integrate them into the educational policy of universities; the significance of environmental, social and governance (ESG) indicators affecting the sustainable development of universities.
