On the 3rd of December, 2025, scientists from the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Agrarian Faculty held an international online forum on the topic: «Prospects of digitalization and artificial intelligence in the development of the veterinary services in Central Asia». The forum brought together scientists from Kazakhstan, Karakalpakstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
The event was opened by Deputy Dean for Science and Innovation, PhD S.K. Sherimova, noting that the purpose of the forum is to accelerate the pace of integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence into the veterinary practice of the countries of the region to ensure animal health, food security and protect the population from diseases common to humans and animals.
Scientists from Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology took part in the forum as a guest offline. Head of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology, docent Shapulatova Zumrat Zhakhongirovna made a report: «Distribution, diagnosis and specific prevention of viral-bacterial infections of calves in livestock farms of the Uzbekistan Republic».
