On February 26, 2026, Senior Lecturer Aikhynbay K.T. of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies, Higher School of Computer Engineering and Energy, conducted an open laboratory session with students of group EP-25-18k2 on the topic “Creating a Simple Network Configuration. IP Addressing. Network Monitoring. Traffic Analysis. Using Sniffers for Network Packet Analysis.” The session was conducted in full accordance with the schedule.Active and interactive teaching methods, as well as elements of group work, were applied during the lesson.The senior lecturer taught students how to create a simple local area network, connect devices to each other, and correctly assign IP addresses. The fundamental principles of IP addressing and the importance of the subnet mask were examined in practice. During network monitoring, students developed skills in checking network availability and routes using the ping and tracert commands.As a result, the students acquired initial practical competencies in network configuration, troubleshooting, and network traffic analysis.
