By order of the rector of the University. M. Auezov on January 1, 2020, the Department of Crop and Livestock Production with a new name and the newly opened Department of the Faculty of Agriculture will train specialists in the following specialties:
6В08110 - Agronomy.
6В08120 - Soil Science and Agrochemistry.
6В08130-Plant protection and quarantine.
6В08140-Fruit and vegetable growing.
6В08150-Protection and quarantine of forestry.
6В08210 - Livestock technology.
The role of our department is very valuable in training specialists in various fields in priority sectors of the economy - the agro-industrial complex (animal husbandry, crop production, agronomy, etc.). Has a strong teaching staff: 3 doctors of sciences, professors (one of them is a laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan), 13 candidates of sciences.
The number of students is growing every year. Today, the department has 375 students, 11 paid students, 2 foreigners.
The total number of academic groups is 35.
