Scientists of the Agrarian Faculty took part in the international scientific-practical conference in Samarkand

On the 19th of September, 2025, the head of the Department of Crop and Animal Husbandry, Candidate of Biological Sciences A.K. Zhylkibaev and Academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Department Zh.A. Parzhanov took part in the work of the international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Research Institute of Karakul Breeding and Desert Ecology.
In his welcoming speech, Zhanibek Parzhanov noted that the Institute is doing a great job of breeding, genetics and breeding Karakul sheep, improving production technology, raising valuable personnel, and is also studying the environmental problems of desert-pasture cattle breeding, creating varieties of pasture plants.
The work of the conference took place in two sections:
- Actual problems and their solutions to the selection and genetic issues of desert animal husbandry, feeding, production.
- Actual problems and solutions of issues of introduction, selection and seed production of desert fodder plants, ecology of pastures, phytomelioration.
