On the 10^th of April, 2025, the Department of Water Resources, Land Use and Agritechnology of the Agrarian Faculty held a forum on the topic: “Modern Trends in the Digitalization Process in Land Resources Management”, dedicated to the Day of Land Management, Geodesy and Cartography Workers.

The forum was attended by representatives of the Kazakh National University of Water Management and Irrigation, the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin, the State Corporation Government for Citizens in the Turkestan Region and the city of Shymkent, the Department of Geodetic Works and Technical Inspection of Real Estate, the Department of Land Relations of the city of Shymkent, the Department of Agriculture of the Kyzylorda Region, the Department of Construction, Architecture and Urban Development of the Akimat of the Sauran District, and GARANT LLP.

The main topic of discussion was the concepts of land and resource potential of the agro-industrial complex, digital transformation and digitalization, as well as the need to introduce digital innovations in land management. In their welcoming speech, Member of the Board, Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Besbaev G.A. and Dean of the Agrarian Faculty, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tastanbekova G.R. noted that the digital transformation of the process and mechanism for managing the land and resource potential of the agro-industrial complex at any level of management and administration will contribute to more efficient and rational use of agricultural land and, as a consequence, an increase in the volume of agricultural production, an increase in the competitiveness of the industry and individual agricultural producers, and a strengthening of their financial stability.
