Starting from the 2025–2026 academic year, the following educational programs has been updated:
6B01730 – Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages
Main Updates
1. Elective courses: Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence – 3 credits, Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy – 5 credits, Enhancing Teaching Methods through Online Communities – 5 credits, Research, Development and Innovation (Lesson Study),Educational Research (Action Research)
Content updates:
- Courses will now include topics on artificial intelligence, inclusion, media literacy.
- The course “Pedagogy and Cyberpedagogy” has been renamed to “Modern Pedagogy”.
- The course “English for Media Literacy” has been renamed to “Media Literacy and Application of Artificial Intelligence”.
Learning outcomes and competencies:
- Strengthened competencies in the use of AI in education.
- Increased focus on intercultural communication and inclusion.
- Clarified learning outcomes in lesson planning and teaching methodology.
The updates will affect the curriculum and the competencies to be developed.

- In the course “Fundamentals of Anti-Corruption Culture”, a new topic was introduced: “Application of AI in Combating Corruption”.
- In the courses “Social and Political Studies” and “Cultural Studies and Psychology”, new topics on inclusion, social integration, and support for people with disabilities were added.
Updates will affect the curriculum and the competencies to be developed.
3. 6B01703 – English Language (IP)
Main changes.
New courses added:
- Media Literacy and use of Artificial Intelligence (3 credits)
- Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy (5 credits)
- Lesson Study (4 credits)
- Action Research (4 credits)
- Ecosystem and Law (5 credits)
Content updates:
- In the course “Fundamentals of Anti-Corruption Culture”, a new topic was introduced: “Application of AI in Combating Corruption”.
- In the courses “Sociology and Political Science” and “Cultural Studies and Psychology”, new topics on inclusion, social integration, and support for people with disabilities were added.
Adjustments:
- Duplicate courses were merged (Ecology and Fundamentals of Life Safety + Fundamentals of Economics and Law → Ecosystem and Law).
- The workload of the course “Methodology and Design of Scientific Research” was reduced from 10 to 7 credits.

5. 6B02330 – Foreign Philology
New courses added:
- Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence
- Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy
- Linguistic Expertise of the Text
- Practicum on Consecutive Translation
- Theory and Methodology of Interpreting
- Practice of Interpreting
Content updates:
- Courses will now include topics on artificial intelligence, inclusion, and media literacy.
- The course “English for Media Literacy” has been renamed to “Media Literacy and Application of Artificial Intelligence”.
Adjustment of learning outcomes:
- Strengthened competencies in translation activities.
- Introduction of skills in linguistic expertise of texts and work in the forensic-expert field.
- Development of professional skills in line with pedagogical standards and an inclusive approach.
Updates take into account:
- Professional standards “Translator” and “Forensic Psychological and Philological Expertise”;
- New requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Current trends in AI, media communication, and inclusive education.

6. 7М02330 – Digital Linguistics and Intercultural Communication
Main updates:
- A new course added: “ Higher School of Pedagogy and Psychology ” (5 credits).
Course title adjustments:
- “Research Methodology and Academic Writing” → “Academic Writing and Project Work”
- “Methodology of teaching special subjects ” → “Methodology of Teaching Foreign Language at University ”
Content changes:
- The course “Psychology of Management” reduced from 4 to 3 credits.
- The courses “Digital Technologies in Translation Studies” and “Computational Linguistics” were updated with topics on the application of artificial intelligence in translation, computational linguistics, NLP, text analysis, and cross-cultural communication.
Update of teaching and learning materials (TLM):
Learning outcomes:
- Updates are based on the State Educational Standards (SES), new professional standards of Kazakhstan, and the experience of leading universities.
- New methodological materials have been developed with a focus on the integration of AI.
